Skewen FC Ladies and Penclawdd AFC Seconds battled it out in this Perago WWWGL Ladies League Division A fixture with the hosts managing to leave the field with the 3 points .
Ammanford are on 9 points but have played 3 matches whilst Skewen also are on 9 points but have played 4 matches . Ammanford also have a superior goal difference currently . Plenty of football to go yet however .
Skewen took an early lead right at the start on 3 minutes by Rachel White 1-0 . Skewen started to get in their stride as the game progressed and on 24 minutes Ashley Thomas made it 2-0 to the hosts . Then just before the break Stephanie Cook netting to make it 3-0 on 43 minutes .
In the 2nd half it didn’t seem like the same Skewen came out from the interval . As they couldn’t increase on the 3 goals they already had . It was Penclawdd who got the next goal on 50 minutes Niamh Davies getting a goal back for the visitors , which gave them hope as the game went back and fore with both teams creating chances . Then Holly Tinkler knocked one in on the 84th minute .
Penclawdd thought the come back was on ! ! Skewen and Ashley Thomas had other ideas with a 4th for Skewen and her 2nd of the match on 87 minutes . Wrapping the game up 4-2 to Skewen .
